Kindergarten Graduation

Tatum is moving up to Kindergarten!

A co-worker wanted a cake for his daughter's Preschool graduation. I thought crayons would be appropriate. I covered a small box with fondant so that it would hold it's shape. After it had time to dry a little, I added the crayon tips and extra decorations to make it look like a crayon box. Then I rolled out a white piece of fondant and cut it into a rectangle to resemble a piece of paper... I added red lines with a ruler and red food coloring pen. I wrote the message out as it would appear on a real piece of paper. I added some really cute 'reading, writing, and arithmetic' ribbon around the bottom to finish it off.

Congratulations Tatum!

Happy Birthday Cake!

Here is a birthday cake I did for a co-worker's daughter. They wanted simple polka dots.

My new love is the ribbon! Although I think the tiny balls are very cute, they are also very time consuming to make and attach. The ribbon is the way to go if you don't have a ton of time on your hands. They both make for a great presentation.

Happy Birthday Marley!

Hannah Montana

Here is my Hannah Montana cake! I jazzed it up a bit with some crystal sprinkles but be careful with them. They get on everything and end up in places that you don't want them.... a little messier than I expected. But I do have to say it turned out pretty cute.

New Babies

A friend is having a baby shower for her sister so she asked me to make her some babies. These little guys traveled from Atlanta to Louisville. She will then add them to her own cupcakes.
